Kids confused in New Hampshire

In New Hampshire, a marriage-equality bill recently passed the house and senate. It is currently awaiting the governor's approval. Governor Lynch has said he would sign the bill pending revisions that would allow religious institutions to withhold services to married couples.

Lynch previously said he believed marriage is between a man and a woman but changed his mind after speaking with lawmakers and residents. "My personal views on the subject of marriage have been shaped by my own experience, tradition, and upbringing. But as governor of New Hampshire, I recognize that I have a responsibility to consider this issue through a broader lens."

A new commercial airing in New Hampshire features children "confused" by the idea of two men or two women getting married. The ad is an attempt to stop the governor from signing a bill that would allow same-sex marriage in the state.
One child asks, "If my dad married a man, who would be my mom?" Another says, "I'm confused."

In the ad, an ominous narrator interjects the kids' comments to say "our kids will be taught a new way of thinking" and concludes "call Governor Lynch today and ask him to protect marriage."

Governor Lynch is doing a brave thing, but the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) claims that same sex marriage will bring about all sorts of dire results. They claim they don’t want children to be confused about Mommies and Daddies, and then they put out a video showing child actors claiming they are confused. Yes, they coached kids to say they were confused.

Now if same sex marriage were to produce what NOM sees as such dire results as confusion among children, why would they intentionally confuse children to prove it? This seems abuse, at least by their standards. Thankfully normal children when exposed to families that are different are well able to handle that difference. Children, after all, are naturally loving and accepting.
